VW Cabrio VR6 swap

Here's my project. The caVRio Originally bought as a VW Cabrio 1996 2.0 Slow:First pics when I bought it:

It has 17" wheels, tires 205/40/R17 and new custom interiors:

 

It was almost stock and the headlights were broken so... Its first mod arrived! new headlights:

If we want to remove the DRL (DAY RUNNING LIGHTS) we just have to cut the yellow wire on the PIN 15 of the lights switch

Then I went to the suspension. I bought it this:I bought this:

but they sent me this:

Same but blue, but it doesn't matter is so low that u can't see them. Installing:

And taking advantage that I removed the tires, let's rice it!!!:

At the beggining the difference on the lowering was not perceptible:

Then, the awful day comes, a rainy day, took some water and a  connecting rod broke. That's when I said... OK what's next?, should I fix it?... should I need to buy other?... While taking a desicion, sold the rims and I kept it for a while out of streets:
